Sister Wives Season 17 has so far been an emotional roller coaster. Robyn Brown’s emotional reaction to the altered familial relationships was seen in the season premiere. After three episodes of the most recent season, fans have seen the family suffer a devastating loss. Meri Brown, Kody Brown’s first wife, lost a close personal friend.
Meri had to run to the hospital as the family fought to accept the COVID restrictions imposed by the father of the Brown family. But her mother, Bonnie, was the one who experienced it, not her. Initially admitted to the hospital a few days prior, the medical staff discovered she had a protracted heart attack.
‘Sister Wives’ The Brown Family Suffers Devastating Loss
Meri had to make a hasty trip to the hospital after learning that her mother had passed away from the medical staff. The 51-year-old admitted in her confessional, “It’s not something I’m ready for. She’s only 76.” Fans could sense how nervous she was as she drove the short distance to the hospital, which was only one hour away. “I don’t even know how to do this,” she continued, confessing, “This is just so unexpected and so quick.
This is not supposed to happen this way.” “I don’t know what to do at this point. I don’t know what the rest of my life’s going to look like. There’s just a lot I have to figure out because she’s just always been there,” she continued. Kody also said a few things in tribute to his late mother-in-law.
“Bonnie was my first mother-in-law he said, “I think I fell in love with her first, you know? She’s just the sweetest lady.” Robyn Brown praises Bonnie’s personality and says, “Bonnie always treated me like I knew her forever. Every time I was around her, it was a sweet experience. She always made me feel welcome.”
Christine Brown, who is no longer a part of the polygamous marriage, described how Bonnie was instrumental in facilitating her mother’s reconciliation. She said, “After my mom left our church, people didn’t know what to do with her. I didn’t know what to do with her.
Bonnie just always pushed me to reconcile with my mom, always. And that’s just Bonnie, to the core.” According to ET Online, Bonnie, who was 76 years old, passed away on March 26, 2021. However, because of TLC’s filming schedule and the length of time required for post-production, viewers were able to watch the moving episode more than a year after the tragedy.
Meri posted a touching photo of herself and her mother on Instagram along with a lengthy text paying honor to her mother. Have you watched this sad episode?
