Big Show Moving

During his absence from the ring, The Big Show (his real name is Paul Wight) has been stretching his legs, both figuratively and literally.

While working on getting himself healthy, he’s also staring in a Netflix live comedy from WWE Studios called, The Big Show Show. Yeah, it may not be the most innovative of names, but you have to admit it has a certain ring to it.

The premise of the show is pretty simple yet cool as he’s a retired professional wrestler that returns home to find his teenage daughter (possibly from another marriage or maybe just moving back home?) is moving in with him, his wife, and two daughters. He’s quickly outsmarted and outmaneuvered as he has to adjust to not being the center of attention (paraphrase from Deadline.com).

This not only gives him the chance to shine outside of the wrestling world, it gives us a chance to see him in a different light than we’ve grown accustomed to. Just like others that have used wrestling to get some action on the big or small screen, Wight has teased us with little snippets like Jingle all the Way, so it’ll be fun to see him center stage dealing with real life problems many face when they retire or switch jobs.

Written by Josh Bycel and Jason Berger, it begins filming on August 9, so it won’t be too long until we get to kick back and watch the Big Show on his, well, Big Show.

With any luck, he’ll be the next sitcom champion.
