We are 9 days away now from our next WWE PPV believe it or not. Of course the term PPV is a weird relic term in WWE now, they’re far from the old standard pay-per-views. Which is part of why, until today, we didn’t have a single match announced for the show yet in spite of it being less than two weeks away.
Funnily, after discussion of this fact heated up, they started doing just that, unveiling atleast a portion of the card. We know that Bray Wyatt will be defending his WWE Universal Championship against the Miz at this event, seemingly without his usual Fiend guise. And that’s not all.
There will also be a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match pitting Roman Reigns against King Corbin at… well, WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2019.
This is no real surprise, given how long the two have been feuding. Ever since the 2019 WWE Draft landed them both on the blue brand they’ve been at odds with one another. After two months, the time has obviously come to put them on PPV and settle things. It’s particularly fitting that in the past couple of weeks things have gotten more violent of late, most notably with Roman Reigns decimating Robert Roode to the point of injury last week. This week Roman ended up handcuffed to a ringpost and then… well, got showered with one bucket of wet dog food after another. Still, it’s a bitter one.
It’s always hard to tell with WWE these days, but one would think with something like a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match, the two of them might just conclude their rivalry when they face off on December 15th.
They’ve made use of tables and chairs thus far in their feud, but it always is a little harder to work ladders into the equation. Might just see that next week though!
