Fale Dojo (Auckland, NZ) is now an official part of the New Japan Pro Wrestling [NJPW] training system. Going forward internationally, the Dojo will now be known as NJPW New Zealand Dojo, however, locally, we will maintain our Fale Dojo brand,” reads a press release from NJPW New Zealand Dojo Media Relations Manager, Ite Lemalu

NJPW Chairman, Naoki Sugabayshi announced a New Zealand Dojo was coming at the post The New Beginning in Osaka press conference earlier this morning, with initial tryout happening on May 9th and 10th. “This has been years in the making,” said Toks ‘Bad Luck’ Fale, the founder and Head Trainer of Fale Dojo / NJPW New Zealand Dojo in the press statement. “Finally after the sacrifices and hard work. My goal of showing the world the talent we have in Oceania will happen,” he continued.

Previously the dojo was an officially recognized NJPW-affiliated training school where NJPW talent Jay White, Toa Henare, Robbie Eagles, and Gino Gambino trained before making their way to the NJPW Noge Dojo or debuting on the roster. Fale Dojo graduates Jake Taylor and Oskar Münchow are currently Young Lions within the NJPW Noge Dojo in Japan.

Mark Tui Fale Dojo General Manager/Coach also commented on the news within the press release. “I’m over the moon, and more than happy with the new trainers that we’ve brought on board to Fale Dojo,” he began. “I look forward to seeing how the Dojo progresses this year.” Now entering a new stage Tangi Ropati, Gina Gee, and Vikrant Pawaar are joining the dojo staff.

Tui also announced several new partnerships for the dojo.

I’m very humbled and grateful for our partnership with Coca Cola, Powerade, and Pump, as well as our partnership and sponsorship with Xplosiv Supplements based in Papatoetoe, South Auckland. Watch this space, there are going to be great things coming from Fale Dojo. We’re looking forward to 2020 and beyond.

The NJPW New Zealand/Fale Dojo was founded in 2016 by Toks Fale in South Auckland, New Zealand, and is now an official member of the NJPW Dojo System joining the Noge Dojo (Japan) and the Los Angeles (LA) Dojo in the United States.
