WWE Monday Night Raw is about two hours deep now. We just now witnessed the conclusion of a unique tag match that was described by Lana as a double date. Natalya makes her way out, we’re shown a clip of her eating a kick from Asuka that evidently left her with a shiner. Kabuki Warriors come out and cut another howling promo, Asuka asking Nattie if she’s okay after her eye got injured. They do a duel chant of “I don’t care” and Asuka promises to defeat her and win the Elimination Chamber to go to WrestleMania. It’s Nattie vs. Kairi Sane this time around.
Natalya vs. Kairi Sane
Natalya with a waistlock takedown. Kairi whips her to the corner, charges, gets taken to the apron, comes off the top rope but Nattie avoids her, she rolls through to her feet and mocks Natalya with a little dance. Nattie slaps the taste of her mouth, hoists her up for a Stalling Suplex, gets a 2 count. Looking for the Sharpshooter, Kairi struggles her way to the ropes to break the hold. I guess Asuka distracts her and Kairi takes over. Arm wringer takedown gets a 2 count. Straitjacket hold, leaps onto the back for a bodyscissor as well! Natalya with the Backpack Stunner counter.
Kairi staggers around, charges into a back elbow, reverses a whip to send her into the middle turnbuckle. Kairi Sane stomps her way to the opposite corner, charges but Natalya wayleys her with a Discus Clothesline for a close nearfall! Kairi fights up, tries a dropkick but gets caught into the Sharpshooter attempt, Asuka on the apron to distract, Nattie charges and she drops down. Natalya pursues to the outside as Kairi distracts the ref, Asuka catches Natalya with a roundhouse kick! And the referee makes the full ten count from there.
Winner: Kairi Sane
Feels like it’s been a while since we’ve seen a countout finish on WWE television, it doesn’t happen every day. This appears to be a new feud now and of course it will be represented in the Elimination Chamber as both Natalya and Asuka are going to be part of that. I would figure Asuka atleast is going deep into it as well, Nattie might as well. Must say, a little surprised Kairi Sane didn’t just eat the loss here, she’s usually the whipping girl for people looking to take on Asuka, but nice to see her get a victory, even if it is a dirt cheap one!
