After another crushing loss to The Celtic Warrior, Sheamus, Apollo Crews is truly starting to feel defeated. A man can only lose so many matches before it’s time for a change, and that might be what has finally come for Crews. Being one of the most talented athletes in WWE today, he suffers from a lack of character or charisma. He was pulled from NXT long before he was ready, and has been directionless for years on RAW & Smackdown.
Apollo Crews Has Had Enough
In an interview following his latest match against Sheamus, Crews had the following to say. “It’s this kind of moment… I just want… I’m trying to find the right words for this moment… But all I can say is that I’m tired of this crap.”
With him once being propped up as a potential star, it is a shame to see him fall this far. However, frustrations could lead to a bigger emphasis on character for Crews, something he has lacked.
A Heel Turn Might Be In Order
While becoming a villain doesn’t help everyone become a star, it does allow more personality to show. That could be just what Apollo Crews is missing. As another Wrestlemania will likely pass by with him in the pre-show battle royal, and frustrations taking hold, the smile might finally fade from the face of Crews. He has all the tools to be a force to be reckoned with, he just needs to find the killer instinct to take him to that next level. Even getting a heel manager could be enough to save him.
NXT Return
Another solution to rehab the career of Apollo Crews is a return to his WWE roots. He was plucked from NXT far before he was ready, and hardly even had a chance to establish himself there. With a stacked roster in NXT, it could be hard to find a place for him right now, but with some stars sure to come to RAW & Smackdown after Wrestlemania, spots will open. If nothing else, being able to wrestle longer matches with skilled opponents would help Crews in the eyes of fans, as many have forgotten how good he is.
