Love is in the air until children become involved, then it becomes a fun-filled race to see who can piss each other off. At least, that’s the lesson learned from watching our daily soaps. But the fun’s just starting and CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers are here with some spoilery goodness for everyone to indulge in.

Creating some space
Something tells us that this isn’t going to be a typical April Fool’s joke episode as Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) discuss the best treatment for their current affliction.
In this case, the disease isn’t Phyllis, not entirely, but her daughter, Summer Newman (Hunter King) can take full responsibility. She loves her parents, just not when they’re together and they’ve been getting together pretty frequently lately.
Now that she’s confronted both of them, they each have taken a different stance on how to handle things with Nick seemingly willing to take a step back and end things, while Phyllis is staying true to her nature as a disease and wanting to remain attached to the host.
Things could get a little spicy between the two, especially considering that Phyllis has grown comfortable with her ex as part of her life again. She’s happy and won’t want to give it up without a fight.
Nick, on the other hand, may be taking Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)’s comment about being a good soldier to heart and is more willing to break things off. Of course, Phyllis is no Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), but baby steps for the puppy. He may still grow into his feet.
Theo doesn’t pass go
Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) has busted his hump to drive Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) insane and take over his life. But what he didn’t count on was being accepted for who he is without having to go to such lengths. Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman)’s show of trust and understanding have filled Theo with hope that things will work out, that maybe he doesn’t need to destroy Kyle to win.
Like Phyllis, Theo’s happy and is about to close the deal with Kyle’s newly divorced ex, Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle), but it’s not going to work out like he hopes.
For all intents and purposes, Lola appears to have been getting close with Theo because it drove Kyle nuts. It was her unconscious way of hurting him like he hurt her, but now that she’s accepted that he’s letting her go, she won’t have a reason to continue teasing Theo.
And therein is going to be the rub. Theo will be so close to having everything he wants that when she stymies him while he’s trying to romance her, it’ll probably set him off on his endeavor to destroy Kyle completely. In fact, CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers are expecting that to be the outcome.
How far will Theo go after this is anyone’s guess, but we’re betting the real fireworks are about to begin.
