At Wrestlemania 36, fans will see the payoff to a feud that has been brewing for months. This is between Otis of Heavy Machinery, and Dolph Ziggler. Things got heated between the two when Ziggler ruined the date between Otis & Mandy Rose, breaking the heart of the fan favorite. Things would further escalate around Elimination Chamber, with Ziggler & Roode beating a tired Heavy Machinery at the end of a Gauntlet Match to get the final slot. Ziggler would also goad Otis into running through a pod at the event, leading to Heavy Machinery being eliminated. Things will finally conclude as they meet one on one at Wrestlemania, and while this is the first time for Otis; it’s a first for Dolph Ziggler as well.
Dolph Ziggler Has Never Had A Singles Match At Wrestlemania
Despite being one of the best in ring performers of his generation, Ziggler has never had a chance to have a singles showcase match on Wrestlemania until now. He hasn’t been a stranger to the event, but would always be involved in multi-man matches or tag team affairs, never just a singles match. For a two time world champion, this is an odd situation, as even other failed champions like Jack Swagger & Alberto Del Rio have had singles matches at the event, but never Dolph. It is tragic that this will come at Wrestlemania 36, meaning his first singles match at the event will take place in an empty performance center.
This Is Otis’s Match To Win
While there is a great amount of potential in Heavy Machinery as a tag team, fans have latched onto Otis in a big way, especially during this storyline. He is a fan favorite due to his unique look, in ring ability, and comedic appeal. With all that being said, this is the perfect time for him to pick up his first big singles win and start a promising career as a singles star. Heavy Machinery should stay together, but WWE needs to realize that locking people into that division is stifling stars like Big E, Montez Ford & Otis. This can be a chance to make a change, and why not start with Otis?
