In the very early days of AEW, there was a woman who seemed ready for greatness. This was Kylie Rae, a major part of the first big match in the division at AEW Double Or Nothing. Despite seemingly being pegged as the face of the division, she would leave AEW before they even got to TV, and instead returned to working on the independent circuit once again.
Why Did She Leave All Elite Wrestling?
While there was a ton of speculation as to why she left, the common theory being bullying, she simply stated the reason as that she “needed to get my mind, body, and soul right with God.” She was simply going through a rough patch, and while AEW took her career instantly to new heights, it just wasn’t the right time for her. Kylie Rae would get back into the ring soon after Double or Nothing, appearing for promotions like Black Label Pro, BAR Wrestling, and most importantly Impact Wrestling.
Kylie Rae Made Her Impact Wrestling Debut At Bound For Glory 2019
At the 2019 edition of Bound For Glory, Kylie Rae would show up in the ‘Call Your Shot’ gauntlet match, with the winner getting a title match of their choosing. It would be won by Eddie Edwards. She wouldn’t appear for them in the rest of 2019, but has popped up again as part of their TV taping in Atlanta.
Impact Wrestling Is A Perfect Fit
There are a few things that make Impact Wrestling a perfect home for Kylie Rae at this time. The first is their taping structure will still allow her plenty of time to work in various indie promotions. Secondly, Kylie Rae is one of the top intergender wrestlers in the world today. Impact Wrestling is the only major company which has embraced his controversial style, even making Tessa Blanchard their World Champion. This gives someone with the skill set of Kylie Rae a much higher ceiling in Impact Wrestling than she would find in either WWE or AEW. Their knockouts division is in need of some new names with Tessa moving up, and Kylie seems like she is finally ready for her big break.
