Ladies and gentlemen it is Wednesday and that means another episode of AEW Dynamite is coming at us here tonight! We have a unique main event here tonight, as one half of the AEW Tag Team Champions Hangman Page teams up with a Mystery Partner against Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara! My name is Jordan Huie, you are here with us at the Overtimer where you can expect the same kind of live coverage you’ve come to know! That means a live recap and results from the show as they come, plus, previews of everything on tap tonight!

Hangman Page & A Mystery Partner vs. Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara

So this sure is interesting… Hangman Page is one half of the AEW World Tag Team Champions but his partner Kenny Omega has an injured hand and is not cleared for the night. So with that in mind, he instead takes on Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara with a hand-picked mystery partner! So the question is, who would he pick? While logically he would team up with a member of the Elite, he doesn’t actually consider himself a member of the group. He particularly does not want to team with Matt Jackson.

Cody already had a match of his own earlier on in the night and Nick Jackson was also laid out backstage, having been crushed by a garage door by the Inner Circle! So basically none of his known allies are eligible to be the Hangman’s partner tonight. So… who will he pick to team with him? There’s a few interesting choices. One of the more logical ones might be Jon Moxley, who certainly still has a big rematch with Jericho coming, but he may also be selling that Shield Bomb off the stage for another week.

Darby Allin is another recent foe of the Inner Circle who is likely willing to team with him to get another shot at Jericho and Guevara. He’d be a popular pick and isn’t busy tonight. Then, of course you have to consider a surprise entry… we’re always on the look out for when Matt Hardy makes his seemingly inevitable AEW debut after all. As far as people close to Page go, I’ll also say that I feel like one of these days we HAVE to see Marty Scurll on Dynamite, right…? Either way, I kinda think this match will ultimately setup Jericho and Guevara challenging Page and Omega, so Inner Circle over.
