Ladies and gentlemen it is Wednesday and that means another episode of AEW Dynamite is coming at us here tonight! After taking the time to deliver a potshot to all three members of the Jurassic Express, MJF, The Butcher & The Blade now take them all on tonight! My name is Jordan Huie, you are here with us at the Overtimer where you can expect the same kind of live coverage you’ve come to know! That means a live recap and results from the show as they come, plus, previews of everything on tap tonight!

MJF, The Butcher & The Blade vs. Jurassic Express (Jungleboy, Marko Stunt & Luchasaurus)

Last week, MJF revealed his I Pinned Cody shirt and took a shot at his neck tattoo whilst also making it clear that his intentions were to challenge for the AEW World Championship, going after Jon Moxley whenever possible. But he also said he’d go through anybody to do so, and inferred every member of the Jurassic Express in derisive fashion, making it clear that he felt he could easily go right through any of them. As a result, tonight, we see MJF and his mercenary boys the Butcher & the Blade will go up against the Jurassic Express in trios action.

Jungleboy and MJF are often spoken of in similar contexts. They’re only about a year apart in age, making them among AEW’s youngest and brightest stars for the future. Of course, one of them is looked at among AEW’s top babyfaces of the future whilst one of them is… frankly already seen as among the promotion’s top heels. Arguably, MJF is already about there now that Chris Jericho has lost the AEW title. I personally expect to see him as the AEW World Champion before the year ends.

As far as Jungle goes, he’s steadily rising but is doing so more as an underdog type. As I say that, the Jurassic Express has definitely been winning much more often in 2020 than in 2019, but a victory here might be a little hard to come by. MJF has not been pinned or submitted once in AEW, his only loss being in the form of a Fatal Four Way where he was not the man pinned. He’s starting to boast a lot more about his undefeated streak. I suspect that protection will persist, atleast until he challenges Moxley. MJF, Butcher & The Blade over.
