A month ago, Samoa Joe failed a Wellness Policy check, putting him out of action for 30 days. That has now passed. It remains unclear why he failed the check in the first place, but it is meaningless to dwell on something we won’t get answers too, as people rarely reveal what went wrong. With Wrestlemania 36 close, and everything for RAW taped, could Samoa Joe be appearing on these events?
He Was Involved With Seth Rollins
One of the first victims of the Monday Night Messiah, Seth Rollins. He would be jumped by Authors Of Pain while he was still on commentary, after he would stand up to Rollins. This prompted a big babyface push for him, that would be derailed by a concussion during a match due to a botched dive to the outside, another injury shooting a commercial for WWE, then the suspension. This has all kept him away from the ring for a chunk of 2020, and where he was likely sent home, he might have stayed their with the COVID-19 outbreak in full effect. If was brought back in though, there would be an easy match to add to Wrestlemania.
Samoa Joe Could Be The Opponent Of Murphy
With some filler matches between talented stars being added to the Wrestlemania card, we could see Samoa Joe used to ensure that Murphy isn’t an issue during the match between Kevin Owens & Seth Rollins. Either he could be in the corner of Samoa Joe, or in a separate match with Murphy, either would help ensure we get a clean fight between KO & Rollins. They are two high level performers, and it would give them both a nice showcase on Wrestlemania, something both have never really gotten since they started in WWE.
It all depends on if he was brought back in for tapings or simply stayed home to avoid potentially getting sick. He has had a rough year luck wise, so it might be best if he stayed home until all this blew over, but fans would welcome the Samoan Submission Machine back in the mix.
