WWE Monday Night Raw continues. Angel Garza will be in action in a moment, but first, Rey Mysterio is asked what it would mean to win the Money In The Bank. He says looking back in his career, 2010 is one year that stands out. He won his second world championship and then, two months later, could barely stand after a successful title defense, only to get cashed in on by Kane and lose it all. Before he can focus on MITB he has to get past Buddy Murphy in the qualifiers next week. Says he has respect for Murphy like you wouldn’t believe, he’s a great talent with a bright future. But he doesn’t want it as much as Rey does. Mysterio says he’ll defeat Murphy and this year, he’ll be the one cashing in.
In a different part of backstage, looks like maybe a storage closet actually, Seth Rollins is still standing and deadpan. Says that everyone needs something to have faith in. He wants everyone to know that he is still here, still the messiah. Then, out comes Angel Garza for a match with Tehuti Miles. What a hilarious name. On his way out, Angel hands a rose to a camerawoman and gives her a kiss on the cheek and she smiles and blushes.
Angel Garza vs. Tehuti Miles
Waistlock, roll-through but Angel holds onto the ropes, charging dropkick out of the air sends Miles flying! Hooks him in the ropes, works him over, pop-up kick to the chest! And he rips the pants off, tossing them right into Miles’ face before nailing him with a basement dropkick! Angel talks to the camera for a bit before taking Miles up top and pounding the back of his head. Gets him into the Tree of Woe, a wicked charging kick to the abdomen! Pulls Miles up to his feet, cinches the arms, Wing Clipper for the victory!
Winner: Angel Garza
Angel looking good as usual. Between Theory getting his first win, Garza having this impressive squash, the group beatdown of Tozawa and Andrade headlining against Aleister Black in a Champion vs Champion match, this group is getting a big push here. They’re basically the whole story of Raw tonight. Speaking of which, the triumvirate is in the ring once more and they gang up on Miles. The Rope-Hung Hammerlock DDT is nailed again and this time they bring up how this specific move is the same one that defeated McIntyre and put him out of action back in NXT.
Then we see the Kabuki Warriors backstage, quite happy. Asuka says Ruby was not ready for Asuka. Kairi laughs at the question of confidence in her upcoming match against Nia Jax.
