Charlotte Flair comes out and talks about how after she won the 2020 Royal Rumble match, she didn’t see Becky come out to challenge her, didn’t see Bayley. No, you saw the next big thing Rhea Ripley come and call her out. Said that was ballsy, actually reminded her of someone she knows… but says as a result she is now once again the NXT Women’s Champion and is THE biggest thing. Vince McMahon knows she’s the biggest thing and that’s why last year he chose her to save the main event of WrestleMania. Says one thing Rhea Ripley didn’t have was humility. Charlotte vows to go down to NXT to teach everyone there some humility. The next one in line is Io Shirai, who was very impressive in her ladder match victory but she too will bow down to the Queen. We then see a replay of the finish of the Aleister Black/Bobby Lashley match.
Attention is given to the way Lana’s commands cost Bobby the victory, and in the post-match interview Lashley said he needed new management or a new wife. We’ll evidently see Lashley in action up next. And he does still have Lana with him on the way out, atleast for now.
Bobby Lashley vs. No Way Jose
Lashley with a wristlock, clothesline. Drives him facefirst into the top turnbuckle, pelts him with punches. Lana is yelling some command and Lashley leaves the ring to get in her face, tells her to shut the hell up. He re-enters, charges, Jose gets a boot up, Lashley catches it but does get nailed with the solid right hand from Jose! Jose charges directly into an Overhead Belly To Belly! Lashley stalks for the Spear, Lana tells Bobby something and distracts him. Jose with a surprise roll-up for a nearfall, Lashley plants Jose with a Spinebuster, runs right through him with a Spear and that’s that.
Winner: Bobby Lashley
Lashley and Lana are quite tepid to say the least as they go up the ramp together and pose awkwardly. Back in the storage closet, Seth Rollins says tonight he reminds everyone of who he is with a stomp. I guess we’ll be seeing him later tonight, possibly making his presence known after the main event. We’re definitely going to see Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre before too long, wouldn’t be a strange thing to see at Money In The Bank.
