What a week it’s been in Genoa City, and we at CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers have some fun spoilers to share to close the week out.
As bad as things have been, it looks like we’re getting a mini break from the Newman drama as we’ll get to see more of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway)’s war and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case)’s cancer struggle.
We did say fun spoilers, didn’t we? Maybe we lied, maybe we didn’t. Let’s take a look.

Disease fights back
Just when he thought it was safe to enjoy Phyllis’ suffering, she goes and gives Abby’s anti-biotic an does of its medicine.
It was so much fun watching Abby gloat at Phyllis’ expense, but she should’ve stopped when she was ahead. While Phyllis was reeling and searching for an answer, Abby’s big mouth may have given her the means to strike back.
Like any good disease, Phyllis adapted and is attempting to overcome as CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers expect her to do what Abby did and call the city commissioners or anyone that can help her. She may even resort to asking Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for help since he’s newly unemployed at Newman Enterprises.
However she manages it, we expect the city to stop Abby under the notion that while her hotel will add more jobs, she’s currently costing them at the Grand Phoenix. While that’s not 100% true, it’s not a lie as if the construction goes on long enough Phyllis will lose money. The fact that’s part of Abby’s plan may even give Phyllis the edge in having her construction slowed or stopped.
Has anyone thought to just give them some boxing gloves and let them at each other? It’s be just as entertaining if less civilized.
Sharon keeps waiting
Sharon has been going from one roadblock to good health to another in her quest to be cancer free, and it looks like we’re going to offer our company as she waits some more.
This time, however, looks like it’s going to be focused on when her surgery is going to take place and what kind it’ll be. She’s made no secret at being terrified of losing one or both breasts, but more than that it really drives home that she’s sick and will leave her with a permanent reminder, even if she has them replaced.
Sharon Case has done a magnificent job in this role as she’s made her character’s struggle relevant to us and give us an insight to what the struggle’s like. Major props to that and hopefully this will increase cancer awareness for those that believe it won’t happen.
With so much going on in these abbreviated weeks, remember to check back with CBS The Young and the Restless Spoilers for the latest spoilers, updates, and speculations around.
