Tonight, the first night of Wrestlemania 36 will air on WWE Network and PPV. The show was taped over a week ago, and due to the closed set and limited talent, there has not been a single spoiler shared for this show. WWE took this very seriously, as this wasn’t just a taped episode of RAW, it’s Wrestlemania. Because of the legacy of the event, if someone was found spoiling something from the show, they would be looking for a new job.
Spoiling Wrestlemania Would Have Gotten You Fired
While many figured that it would only take a disgruntled employee to ruin this show, the risk of losing your job would not be worth it. Sources indicate that any WWE employee who might leak information would be subject to termination. This is something WWE is taking seriously, as this Wrestlemania is already a hard sell for fans without spoilers in the mix. Add in that this is the PPV debut for Fox Sports and you have a high value set of shows. Not even spoilers from announced preshow matches in Drew Gulak vs. Cesaro & Natalya vs. Liv Morgan have gotten out. The closest we got was Sasha Banks teasing a win of the Smackdown Women’s Championship, which was likely her messing with fans.
WWE Planned Against Leaks With Multiple Finishes To Key Matches
Due to the pretaped nature of this event, WWE has an extra weapon against spoilers. For major matches like Edge vs. Orton, Goldberg vs. Strowman, Lesnar vs. McIntyre and more, there was multiple finishes taped. This would allow WWE to work around spoilers should they have leaked out, as they could just air the other finish to discredit whoever shared the spoilers around. Thankfully this is not going to be needed, but this means there could exist footage of Strowman winning his first world title, that the world might never see.
With two nights of action set to start in just a few hours, there will be a lot of developments and action to be seen. WWE has put together 18 matches to take place over two nights, so there should be something for any wrestling fan on this card. Will you be watching Wrestlemania 36?
