For well over a decade, there was a constant member of the WWE roster. You could find him in countless factions such as The Nexus, The Corre, The Social Outcasts, and 3 Man Band, he had numerous reigns as a tag team champion, and was even one half of the first ever Smackdown Tag Team Champions. This is Heath Slater, who once upon a time was the hottest thing in WWE, even if just for a brief moment. Gone from WWE for the first time in ages, many are asking what is next for Slater?
One Of The Hardest Working Men In Wrestling
Ever since he started for WWE as part of Deep South Wrestling in 2006, Slater has been constantly working to prove that he belongs. According to current member of the WWE RAW roster, MVP, Slater had worked Deep South Wrestling TV for free. He worked himself into a contract. Slater also claimed he couldn’t cut promos, but he found a way to work his loud personality into fixing that issue as well, as he proved during the peak of his popularity in 2016 when he was cutting passionate promos on Smackdown Live after going undrafted. Slater had proved that he is hard working and extremely dependable for years, even being trusted to work with frail legends on the build to the 1000th episode of Monday Night RAW.
Heath Slater Will Be An Asset Wherever He Goes
With 18 years of experience, Heath Slater is a veteran talent despite only being 36 years old. Half his life has been dedicated to being the best professional wrestler he can be, and people will be surprised what he is capable of when it comes to his in ring ability. It has been a very long time since WWE actually let him have a competitve match on TV. As for likely future homes, Slater would be an excellent fit for the throwback vibe of the National Wrestling Alliance revival, but is also likely to be a talent WWE scoops back up once the global situation improves.
His release has him more fired up than ever, as he said the following in a statement on Instagram. “I feel fire again that I didn’t have for a while. I’m ready to get in shape, legit. I don’t know, I feel hungry again and I haven’t felt that in a long time. No bullshit, get ready for the encore because I’m gonna come back better than I ever was. That’s a fact.”
He has already reached the top charts of Pro Wrestling Tee’s with his new ‘I Got Fired’ shirt, which shows that fans are ready to support him once again. Where do you hope to see Heath Slater pop up after his 90 days is up? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
