With COVID-19 shutting down events across the globe, WWE is using all their resources to make sure fans have something to watch in these trying times. They are nearly out of content from their last tapings, which included NXT, Smackdown, RAW and Wrestlemania 36. Because of this, the current reported plan is for WWE to tape several weeks of content starting this Friday, likely the build to and possibly even including Money In The Bank.
The State Of Florida Is On A Stay At Home Warning Until The End Of April
It is unclear how WWE intends to pull this off, with their home base of the Performance Center out of reach due to state restrictions with a Stay At Home warning in place until April 30th. With the intent to film from Friday, April 10th to Thursday, April 16th, they might have been granted a special permission to go on safely, as most of the staff and crew from Wrestlemania taping will have been quarantined following for a 14 day period by this point. This would ensure max safety precautions for this event, making it feasible to get the approval. There is a very big chance this fails for WWE, and they will need a new solution.
Things Have Become Make Or Break For WWE
After an impressive two night showing of Wrestlemania 36, they have proven that under pressure they can deliver something special. They were able to entertain fans across the globe, making it a truly impressive feat. However, they are also under a lot of criticism for keeping going in these times. Wrestlers keep telling people it is their own choice, but the image of Vince McMahon and his greed filled past is hard to look past. A single case of COVID-19 being found within WWE would be a disaster in many ways. This is why WWE is likely treading carefully as possible, while trying to keep the show going. Things are being taken day by day, and fans are hoping these next tapings can happen without issue.
WWE are not a company who give up easily, and Vince could be using his friendship with President Trump in these times to keep things going.
