Looks like we’re heading into a third theme week, and this one looks like it may be the best yet. With “Katherine the Great” and “Lifetime of Love” being so successful, we’re now being offered a “Rivals” theme week, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers is here with the drinks and snacks.
Believe us, you don’t want to miss any episodes this week. We’re going to get to see some of our favorites layeth the smacketh down.
First up is some family fun with Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). Hope the sharp objects are tucked away.

Jill looks for proof
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers loves how Jill has never given up on being the recipient of the family fortune that fell into Kat’s lap following Phillip Chancellor (Donnelly Rhodes)’s death. Intent on finding proof that she was the beneficiary of Phillip’s will, she uses Katherine’s absence as an excuse to tear through the attic to find what she’s sure if there.
Of course, she doesn’t find anything before Katherine returns home and the two have one of their patented altercations.
What’s really cool about them is they were so good together, it was hard to believe they got along when not in character. They were that awesome as plying their trade that Jill and Katherine could transcend the television screen.
Diane plunges the knife in
Not to be outdone by the rest of the characters, Diane Jenkins (Alex Donnelley) has a plan to drive Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) a little crazy, and she refuses to allow anything to get in her way. That includes a post near-death Nikki.
Once she corners Nikki, Diane is quick to inform her that she can’t use the name Newman anymore since Nikki and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) aren’t really married. Nikki, of course, counters by claiming they’re looking at different truths.
Diane tells her to ask Victor, then leaves.
While we’re expected to feel for Nikki and Victor, the fact that Diane was shafted because Victor married Nikki to give her a reason to live seems to be glossed over. Sure, Victor and Nikki belong together, but is Diane really in the wrong for continuing to fight for the man she loves?
This is definitely a fun storyline that leaves plenty of possibilities open for us to go back and watch if we can find it.
Do you think Diane was in the right? Let us know in the comments below, and remember to check back with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
