CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with Villains Week’s final throwback spoiler and it’s a doozy. In fact, we get the feeling it could be a good time to double down. What could go wrong with double or nothing? It could double our winnings.
Okay, yeah, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are going a little overboard with the double theme, but we can’t help it. We’re closing the week out with a doubles episode from April 27, 2010.
Having a double is one of the oldest and battle tested story telling devices for daytime television, and it never gets old. There’s a million and one ways to pull it off from an evil twin, plastic surgery, a mask, clone, or even a robot. It’s up to the writer’s imagination on how to do it and pull us in, and it works more times than not.
In fact, it worked so well, that even Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc), Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart), and the rest didn’t have a clue that Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) wasn’t Lauren.
Michael tried his heart out, but he couldn’t get Ryder Callahan (Wilson Bethel) to crack and tell them what was going on. Michael may be a great attorney, but sometimes a softer, different approach is needed to get the information.
To that end, he called his brother, Kevin, for help, and Kevin agreed.
Ryder was surprised when Kevin arrived, and he struggled to keep his secrets hidden because Kevin was the only one that had showed him any sort of kindness in Genoa City.
As things progress, Kevin begins saying how he doesn’t have a family anymore, and that he’s all alone. Ryder shows he’s in turmoil when he gives Kevin a pep talk, saying things will work out and that’s not true. Sensing Ryder’s afraid of someone, Kevin promises to protect him from whomever it is. After a bit, Kevin leaves him to take care of something, and while he’s gone, someone bails out Ryder. This leaves them high and dry, but surely another clue will come their way?
Double or nothing
From what the promos have said, it looks like Lauren and Michael will come face to face with her double, and while that’s expected since Michael is the one that rescues her and Jana Hawkes (Emily O’Brien), CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are curious as to when this will happen given everything packed into this episode. We’re betting on it being at the end for a cliffhanger, which will leave all of us searching for what happens next.
Still, that’s a good problem t have, so long as we can find the episodes or recaps.
With Villains Week in the books, we can look back and bask in the villainy that enthralled us as. Who was your favorite villain? Let us know, and remember to check back with CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers for the latest updates, spoilers, and speculation around.
