One of the curious things at Impact Wrestling’s Rebellion Night 2 was the arrival of Navaeh. Her arrival was without much fanfare, but she made a point of watching Jessicka Havok and Rosemary during their Heavy Metal Mayhem match.
Madison Rayne, filling in as commentator with Josh Mathews, recognized her right away, and in true Rayne style, refused to offer much in the way of spoilers. She did a great job of sounding surprised and building the suspense along with Mathews, and Havok briefly paused at seeing her watching them, but that’s all that happened.

Something’s up
While this signifies there’s a new threat in town in the Knockout’s division, it begs the question if she’s there for the championship or just looking to cause some mayhem.
Given Nevaeh was watching two of the darker, more dangerous members of the Knockouts going after each other in the match of the night (in my opinion), and Rayne’s reaction at seeing her hints there’s a new top face in the company.
The presentation is there and she should gain interested over the next few weeks as she makes a few appearance, studying her future opponents as she readies herself for her first match. The buildup should be good to watch, especially if she joins with Havoc as many suspect.
With Havoc’s feud with Tara Valkyrie and Rosemary in full bloom, Nevaeh previously teaming with Havoc at a couple if Impact specials can’t be overlooked. It would also explain why Havoc didn’t other with her after spotting her. Kinda makes us wonder why Mathews didn’t recognize her, but he is a Michael Cole clone, only better than the original.
Of course, this could be a setup by Valkyrie and Rosemary to finally bring Havoc down, but with Rosemary winning the Heavy Metal Mayhem match, it seems unlikely. This doesn’t mean it won’t happen, but it’d be an unusual twist.
But then Impact is known for unusual twists at times, so there’s little doubt this idea is floating around their brain trust.
This could also signal the breakup of Rosemary and Valkyrie as Rosemary’s not happy about being abandoned to face Havoc alone. With rumors of Valkyrie eventually jumping ship to the WWE (once the pandemic is over and WWE isn’t releasing employees) despite claims of her contract going through 2021, this would make sense as they wouldn’t have one half of a team just disappear.
Who is Nevaeh?
Adding more intrigue to the question of who is Nevaeh, is that Madison Rayne wasn’t lying when she said she knew her.
Rayne wasn’t lying when she said she knew who Navaeh is, as the two were long time rivals after Navaeh’s wrestling debut in 2004. Under the name Ashley Lane, Madison Rayne was her chief rival over several promotions before the two teamed up and won tag team gold.
Due to the lack of a spotlight on the Indie promotions, Nevaeh is largely unknown outside of professional wrestling circles, but he ability is top notch. Currently, and assuming she hasn’t signed an exclusive contract with Impact, she wrestles for several promotions including the all-female Shimmer Women Athletes and Women of Wrestling.
Wrestling since 2005, she’s made a name for herself as a top performer, feuding with Ashley Lane over several promotions before teaming up with her as a top team. and winning the Ohio Championship Wrestling’s Women’s Championship.
While she’s well-known for working with several promotions at the same time, this will make her availability with Impact a curious point going forward once other promotions reopen their doors. Either way, it looks like she’s intending to make an impact.
