Since the start of 2020, fans have been loving the antics of Otis Dozovic. While he came onto Smackdown Live as part of a tag team with Tucker as Heavy Machinery, his relationship with Mandy Rose has put him on the path to singles stardom. After beating Dolph Ziggler at Wrestlemania, and again on Smackdown Live, we will see Otis have a chance at what could lead to his first reign as WWE Champion. Will Otis be the one to climb the corporate ladder?
His Chance To Break Out As A Singles Star
While he might not be the most established singles wrestler, his skills are undeniable. His size, power speed, and unpredictability are always a highlight of his matches, and those are all qualities which lend themselves to the chaos of this coming match. Otis could very well just run through people using his size, and potentially taking them out of action. He even spoke on his strategy going into this match, saying the following on WWE Now. “I’m not too experienced with very big, tall ladders, but I am experienced with dozing people, ham and slam, getting the job done.”
Otis already seems to be on his way to singles success, despite being loyal to his partner Tucker. His charisma is simply too much to not have at the top of the card, and that has already made him one of the most beloved stars on Smackdown Live. Winning this match would simply speed the process up, and likely ensure Otis becomes WWE Champion.
Otis Is The Only Unbuilt Star In This Match
When you look at the field of this match, Otis stands out. He is in there among former champions like Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio & AJ Styles, alongside the current King Of The Ring in King Corbin and one of the most dominant men on Monday Night RAW in Aleister Black. These are all established stars, but Otis is still becoming a star for the company. With WWE needing to build new and popular names for the future, investing into Otis by having him win this match could be a quick way to ensure that Otis becomes a star like the other men in the match. He would be a risk, but he possibly has the biggest upside of anyone in the match.
Will being a fan favorite with loads of potential be all it takes to give Otis the edge to become Mr. Money In The Bank? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
