It has been quite some time since we have seen Ember Moon enter a WWE ring. Her last match in WWE came against Lacey Evans in September of 2019, before she would suffer an ACL injury during a dash after 24/7 Champion Carmella. She would put her all into this comedy segment, and at the end realized something was not right. Having been on the shelf for months now, she would go on WWE Backstage as a guest.
During her time on WWE Backstage, she would discuss what she would redo in her career, and this reflection would have her mention the potential severity of her current injury.
Ember Moon Could Have Seen The End Of Her Career
“I look back at my career in WWE, I’ve been here five years. Yeah, I could say, I should have been the one to defeat Asuka’s streak, or I hope that. I could say, aw, man, me and Bayley from SummerSlam, I wish I’d done more. The more and more I sit back and look at everything I’ve done and would re-do, I think about my injury currently. Realizing that I may have a career-ending injury. I’m coming back from the hardest injury and I might not have a chance to redeem myself of all the things I wanted to do and I want to do in my future. It’s so hard to think back and regret, when I try to look forward.”
A Potential Heroes Return
With this news coming as part of WWE Backstage, it could simply be a way to drum up the drama and make her eventual return all the better.
However, sometimes you need to take things at face value and we have to take her word on this. Moon will be doing everything she can to get back in the ring, but her career wouldn’t be the first or the last to be cut short due to injury. If she can work past this, she will likely be able to secure a top role with this story of triumph.
Hopefully she is able to return to the ring better than ever, but if not her legacy in WWE as an NXT Women’s Champion is already fairly grand. We just need to hope she will be able to add to it.
