CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers here with some fresh throwback spoilers for everyone to enjoy as we’ve reached the mid-point of the Daytime Emmy week. We’ve seen some amazing episodes so far, and it’s only going to get better today as we celebrate Susan Flannery’s moment that helped her win her third Outstanding Lead Actress.
We like to say helped because the script and other actors are part of the equation, while the majority sits with the actor or actress. In this case, Susan ratcheted up her intensity and walked the fine line between her character wanting to kill Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) and simply ordering her to do what’s best for those involved.
It’s an amazing moment that’s one of the best CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers have seen yet, and it only helps us to fall more in love with Susan and her character, Stephanie Forrester. This is why we’ve harped so much on needing an outlet to see all of these classics as well as the rest of the shows we miss and love.
It just feels wrong that any of these will be returned to the vault until the powers-that-be eventually get around to thinking of putting them out somewhere.
Anyway, enough time on the soapbox. Let’s see the legend in action in this episode from May 13, 2002.
Brooke got it
Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) has had a healthy dislike for Brooke pretty much since the beginning, and Stephanie is pushed to the limit once again.
As luck would have it, Stephanie figured things out after walking in on Brooke and discovering Deacon Sharp (Sean Kanan) hiding. It turns out, to Stephanie’s horror, that Brooke is pregnant with Deacon’s child, while Deacon is married to Brooke’s daughter, Bridget Forrester (Jennifer Finnigan).
So, the Siren has gone after at least two guys her daughters were involved with, and now she has to pay the piper. The piper, of course, is Stephanie, who storms in and orders Deacon to leave.
Deacon showed some good survival instincts and took off, though he would return later to “protect” Brooke. Yeah, good luck with that.
To no one’s surprise, especially CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers, Stephanie goes straight to Brooke, and called her the “slut of Beverly Hills” and walloped her across the face with a heavy slap. With the hope that she knocked some sense into Brooke, Stephanie ordered her to marry Whipple Jones (Rick Hearst) to protect Bridget from her mother’s mistakes and hands on approach with men.
This is one of those episode that we’re going to hate not to see again, and Susan’s performance was so perfect we almost pity the people she went against for the award.
