The end of another week is here, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers have the final throwback spoilers for Romance Week. This has been one of the most touching and fun weeks we’ve had in a while, and it’s fitting Romance Week is ending with a Valentine’s Day episode.
As luck would have it, we have a wedding in Provence, France to close it out, and between the beautiful setting and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard)’s second wedding, it’s practically perfect.
While weddings are pretty much the norm on daytime television, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers loves how these tend to go off without a hitch. They may only last a year or two, but nothing can stop the ceremonies when they get rolling.
So, without further ado, let’s grab some tissues and snacks and settle in for this treasure from February 14, 2012.
Location, location, location
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are hard pressed to think of a location that can top this one for a wedding. Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) has set everything up for Lily and Cane, and they spent a portion of the episode in awe at the area they were marrying in. Their guests had similar reactions, making it a hit.
So often, we can become numb to the different locations we see, so when we get to see them through a character’s eyes, it really takes things to a whole other level.
It’s also something that makes Katherine such an awesome character as she’d do anything in her power to help those she cared about, and gestures like this only add to her legacy in the story.
Solving the jitters
Getting married can be enormously stressful, and at times it looks like show writers try to twist as much misery and anxiety out of a character to make it memorable. In this case, it wasn’t anything that extreme since Cane and Lily were marrying for the second time.
Because of this, we can assume a lot of the usual jitters wouldn’t be a problem, though new ones about screwing things up again would be reasonable to expect. To combat this, one could simply try to gut it out and pray they don’t do something like drop the ring down a rain grate or trip and take out half the wedding party.
In this case, it involved a ring, but the groom was completely innocent.
With his nerves getting the better of him, Cane asked Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) if he had the ring, and Devon admitted he lost it.
This would be a perfect time for CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers to point out this is a surefire way to cause someone to go insane or have a heart attack. It’s also freaking hilarious. Not that we’d ever do something like this.
Anyway, Cane was about to lose it when Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John) arrived and saved the day by telling Cane Devon was kidding. A laugh was shared, and we’re pretty sure Cane crossed Devon off a mental list to kill later.
Devon’s ploy worked and Cane relaxed, but nothing compared to when Devon and Neil welcomed him to the family.
Nothing like someone tormenting a poor soul to make them feel better. Somehow, that doesn’t sound right but it works.
