WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House continues. We now have Karrion Kross and Scarlett making their way out, Kross faces Tommaso Ciampa in this next bout. There’s a couple of desynced “Fall And Pray” chants.
Tommaso Ciampa vs. Karrion Kross
Ciampa with a big forearm, Kross smiles! High kick, pounding shots, Kross grabs him and tosses him to the corner, big boot! Pulls him up, Exploder Suplex! Ciampa bails to the floor, Kross follows… keeps him from re-entering the ring but Ciampa with a back elbow, slams him into the ring steps! Ciampa wants Willow’s Bell but Kross blocks this, into the ring, wants a suplex, Ciampa fights out and gets him with an overhand chop! But Kross just grits his teeth and no sells! He palms Ciampa to the floor, goes out there – TREE BOMB ONTO THE APRON! Yikes!
Takes Ciampa into the ring, knees to the gut, pulls him out, overhead belly to belly! Another Exploder Suplex sends him flying! Series of knees right to the face! Kross dares Ciampa to get up and hit him. Ducks a backhand, Northern Lights Suplex, rolled through, pulls him to his feet for a wicked clothesline! Ciampa fighting back for all he’s worth, series of chops, step-up enziguri! Running knee takes him to the floor! Willow’s Bell nailed!!! Narrow nearfall! That was a helluva fire up. Charging knee to the side of the head! And another, Knee Trembler style! Wants the Fairy Tale Ending but Kross counters, F-5 style toss! Krossjacket cinched in! “Please Don’t Tap” chant but Ciampa is fading! And the ref has to call for the bell, that is that!
Winner: Karrion Kross
Wow. I actually did think he would win but I didn’t figure it’d be that dominant, my God. Ciampa got one good comeback in but aside from that, he could barely even hurt the guy. Kross just brutalized him, tossed him around and then choked him out. This was quite the statement. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them just get way behind a new guy all the way this quickly, I mean this was a feeding of one of their top guys. Gotta think Kross is lined up for something major now. Maybe he’s gonna be the one to beat Keith Lee for the North American Championship? Suddenly seems very possible.
