Alberto el Patron was arrested on May 3 of this year for sexual assault. The woman that caused Alberto had photographs to prove the incident and the assault by him.
Fox San Antonio described the scene:
The most recent incident took place on May 3, when Rodriguez Chucuan accused the victim of being unfaithful, investigators said. She claimed he became angry when she wouldn’t admit to the infidelity, so he slapped her across the head, slapped her again, then took her to his downstairs bedroom and slapped her eight more times, according to arrest paperwork. The victim alleged he then made her put on a dress and dance for him, but she refused, prompting him to warn her not to cry or he’d take her son and “drop him off in the middle of the road somewhere.”
Police said Rodriguez Chucuan then tied the woman’s hands with boxing straps, put a sock in her mouth and sexually assaulted her for several hours, using various objects. According to investigators, he also punched her in the back during the assault, causing visible injuries. The victim told detectives she does not remember much after he placed his hand around her throat.
Rodriguez Chucuan, a San Antonio resident, is charged with Sexual Assault, a 2nd degree felony. His bond was set at $50,000. Records show he posted bond and was released from jail around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.
Mike Johnson of PWI Insider was asked about an update on the situation. He had this to say:
PWInsider.com has learned there has not been additional movement in the case as of this writing, as the charges have not yet been brought before a grand jury. Once that happens, if the Grand Jury rules there should be an official indictment, prosecution would commence and move towards a criminal trial. Del Rio remains free on $50,000 bond and we are told that he has hired several defense attorneys to represent him.
Alberto el Patron is arguably one of the most accomplished Mexican wrestlers to ever wrestle in WWE. He worked in their developmental program, worked hard to learn the language, and refined his gimmick. When call-up by WWE, he was pure gold, winning the Royal Rumble, the Money in the Bank, and multiple World Championships. He was fired in a racist incident involving a WWE social media manager. He came back to Mexico and was hailed as the returning son to AAA, where he won the AAA Mega Championship. He later returned to WWE and won the United States championship, but that’s when the trouble began.
He had a chaotic relationship with WWE superstar Paige, that involved abuse and drugs. Moreover, his behavior became more violent and irresponsible inside the promotion, getting into multiple troubles. His exit from the promotion continued that pattern, no showing to Impact Wrestling shows when he was the champion and even showing drunk on interviews. His life seemed to be in order, after getting into some projects, like Combate Americas and a failed Lucha Libre promotion, Nación Lucha Libre. Now, Alberto el Patron is regarded as a wildcard to work it in wrestling and his behaviors show a waisted talent that could have been the greatest modern wrestler out of Mexico to ever wrestle internationally.
