CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers here with some more throwback spoilers to help close the week out. It’s been an interesting week as fans once again made their selections and we got to sit back and enjoy them. While some may have us shaking our heads, they gave us plenty of fun moments to relive.
In this case, we got to go back to March 13, 2020 to relive a pretty fun episode where Thomas Forrester (Mathew Atkinson) had his latest manipulation canceled and proving once and for all that nothing is idiot proof.
Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), and Hope Logan (Annika Noelle) fumbled, stumbled, and eventually tripped their way to finding a way to break Thomas’ control.
Of course, Hope wasn’t so much an idiot as finding herself stuck between knowing Thomas was up to something and protecting his son, Douglas Forrester (Henry Joseph Samiri). The fact she considered him her own son only strengthened their bond and gave Thomas the inspiration for this attempt.
To be fair, out of everyone involved, only Hope, Zoe Buckingham (Kiara Barnes), and Vincent Walker (Joe LoCicero) were the only ones more worried about Douglas’ well being than Hope’s, and that’s saying something about the people involved, especially those that knew what he was up to.
There’s an old saying that children are the invisible victims, and this storyline displayed that perfectly.

Hope’s day
With victory in his grasp, it seemed like nothing could stop Thomas from finally getting everything he wanted. In just a few more minutes, he and Hope would be married and his and Douglas’ dreams would come true.
This is where things tend to go wrong, and CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers are pleased to say that’s exactly what happened.
Sensing something had changed, Zoe demanded that Thomas not leave her at the altar after he and everyone else were staring in wonder at Hope and her wedding dress.
Thomas had a moment of clarity where it appeared he would stay and marry her, but when he hesitated it gave Hope the chance to nail him.
She quickly exposed him, and Liam and Steffy stood by her side. He finally realized they had worked together to stop him, so he did what any self-respecting villain would do. He turned around and tried to marry Zoe.
Of course, she would have none of it since he had left her. This signaled a shifting of alliance he hadn’t expected as everyone lined up against him.
He sought support from someone, but instead only faced the accusations and disgust from his friends and family as they left him one by one. The one that really hurt him was a tearful Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) calling him out for his lies. Out of everyone, Ridge had been Thomas’ biggest supporter, his faith and hope that his son had become the man he promised he was had caused a rift in Ridge and Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang)’s marriage to the point they were nearly ready to separate.
Without anyone or thing left to him, Thomas turned and fled, tears running from his eyes. It’d become his nightmare personified, and he’d have to do some serious soul searching before he’d be able to face anyone again.
