When it comes to daytime television, CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers have seen just about everything. And then the theme weeks started as we got to see episodes we either forgot about or didn’t see the first time. Like many fans, we were mixed about Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) as she seemed to have a higher opinion of herself than maybe she should’ve, but again, that’s the norm in these shows.
We’ve also grown accustomed to them walking the thin line between incestuous relationships and relatively normal ones. But this one… well… let’s just say we and many others understand why so many fans don’t like Brooke.
It’s a testament to the writers and the actress to bring her alive to the point that we’re so invested in her, and it definitely makes for fun story telling and watching.
In this case, we get to see some of the aftermath of one of Brooke’s better whoopsie moments, as on June 14, 2002, her daughter threw her a baby shower.
Yep. Good ole Brooke was pregnant, but this wasn’t just any baby, oh no. No, she went the extra mile to have her daughter, Bridget Forrester (Jennifer Finnigan), throw her a baby shower while Bridget’s husband, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), was the father.
Yeah, that’s not a typo.

Into Jerry Springer land we go
While Brooke is the easy target, CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” feel it’s important to spread the blame around since, well, Deacon proved an active brain isn’t need to procreate. In this instance, he not only got Brooke pregnant, but he’s refusing to accept that she and Whipple Jones (Rick Hearst) are together and Deacon needs to keep his mouth shut to protect Bridget and save their marriage.
While it’s never easy to ignore the Siren’s — Brooke — call, Deacon really has a “Hold my beer” challenge going with himself as he waits for the baby shower to end. It seems that no matter how many times he’s told Brooke would never betray her daughter (she already did, but okay), he refuses to resist his feelings and urges for her.
To be fair, Brooke has told him repeatedly to stop and that he needs to focus on Bridget, but he’s stubborn, so that ricochets off his head; never even gets into an ear.
In this case, he waited for the baby shower to end and then went to Brooke’s house.
Seriously, this decision making is so bad it almost has to be a real person since fiction has to make sense, right?
No such luck.
So, he arrived at Brooke’s where the shower was over and pretty much everyone was gone or really busy. Thinking it was the perfect time, he got her alone and once again professed his love for her.
The Dumbest Man in America finalist cinched up his win with this move because not only did he make Brooke uncomfortable, but the baby monitor was on and Bridget heard the whole conversation.
This is where CBS “The Bold and the Beautiful” Spoilers will happily say in sing-song “Somebody’s gonna get it.” As we wait for the next phase in this story to air Wednesday.
This is one of those episodes where it’s hard to believe it until we see it kind of thing.
