CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here to close out a fun week with some throwback spoilers to get us warmed up.
This has been a fun week celebrating the Fourth of July and summer in general, and it looks like the week’s closing in style with some added drama that’ll help spark our short term memories or send us running to cbs.com to rewatch it.
Originally airing on July 3, 2019, we get to relive when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) shared some important medical news with the Newman women at Newman Enterprises. Speaking of Newmans, Summer Newman (Hunter King) pushed Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) away by raving about herself and ranting about her ex, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Victoria Newman (Amelie Heine) confronted Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) over their issues.
Victor’s always hard to read, but no more so than when it concerns his health. It’s probably why there is virtually no gray area with him; we either love or hate him.
In this case, he wanted to share news about a new experimental procedure Nate Hastings (Brooks Darnell) recommended to him. It came with a mixed result at Victoria was sure there were side effects Victor wasn’t sharing, but Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott denied that.
Through their conversation, Victoria and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) learned their brother, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), had been told about this news earlier. They eventually accept Victor’s reasons and come together as a family. Their love and support meant the world to Victor.
A sour Summer
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers has seen plenty of hangover scenes, and this is definitely a fun one. Summer had decided alcohol was a great painkiller, so he indulged a little more than she probably should have. But that didn’t stop Theo from trying to help sober her up as he brought her some coffee and tried to talk to her.
When he decided it was time to check his influencers, Summer started going on about how she was one of the most important people at Jabot and that they must’ve thought she’d gone to another company by then.
As if the Jabot gods were listening, She got a text from Kyle. He told her that Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) was furious and if she didn’t get to Jabot she’d be on the unemployment line.
Yep, they were terrified she went elsewhere, weren’t they?
Of course, CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers would think she’d chug a couple pots of coffee to chase away the alcohol, but instead, a new train of thought left the station as she began ranting about Kyle. Theo, having tried to get her focus on him for a chance, gave up and had had enough of her complaining and talking about her ex. S, he left.
Later on when Phyllis was helping to put her to bed, Summer complained that she didn’t know what Theo’s problem was because she only mentioned his name once. Despite the circumstances, this was a good scene between mother and daughter that’s worth seeing. It’s always awesome to get an inner glimpse of Phyllis’ kind side since we get to see her harder edge all too often.
Victoria confronts Phyllis
Following learning about her father’s medical plans, Victoria decided to go to Dark Horse and needle Phyllis some. Once there, the two exchanged the type of pleasantries we’d expect. Things like Victoria running her daddy’s empire into the ground, and how Phyllis’ inexperience being apparent. Victoria went on to point out she was part of an acquisition was made that would have ramifications for the city’s newest high rise, which Phyllis was tied up with.
They went their separate ways peacefully enough, though they’re far from done with each other.
