CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers here with a throwback spoiler that’s full of emotion, good and bad.
The past can be a picky thing, as it sometimes has gems that can benefit us as well as hinder us if we allow ourselves to fall deep into what may have been.
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers love these types of stories as it helps flesh out the characters more and gives them a chance to close old wounds.
The latter is the case in this one was Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has found his father, Albert Miller (George Kennedy), and looks to heal old wounds in this episode from November 21, 2003.

The past resurfaces
Victor spent most of his life struggling with his past, running from it while also using it as a tool to fuel his desire to prove himself and become more than anyone had expected.
Out of all of his accomplishments, confronting his father was the one thing he’d been unable to do until now.
With his own son, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow), at his side, Victor approached his father and after some effort, got Albert to admit who he was and that he has a son named Christian.
Albert claimed he was never a family man and he offered no apologies for the life he led.
It prompted Victor to say he supposed he should thank Albert, for without his abuse and abandonment of his family, he never would’ve had the drive or desire to achieve what he had.
Albert tried to pull Nick into things by asking if he was there to get to know his grandfather. Nick replied that Albert should keep him out of it as this was between him and Victor.
Following a brief exchange, Victor let out all of his pent up frustration as he unloaded on his father.
Years of heartache poured out of Victor, and when he was finished, he and Nick left. Once outside Albert’s room, Victor sat down to collect himself.
Victor thanks Nick for being there, that it meant the world to him to have his family.
Family is everything
Victor has put his family above all else since coming to Genoa City. It’s been his life’s work to prove he was better than his father. In a way, he needed to prove his father was wrong in his actions, and he prevailed.
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers think that after seeing his father for the final time, Victor probably felt relieved at his choices.
It may give him strength to know he won’t be alone, that he’s forged strong enough bonds with his family that they’ll always find a way to come together if needed.
