CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are all set for another fun episode as this week’s theme continued at the Abbott family barbecue. Nothing like a pool party to keep the week moving along and make us miss gathering with our friends and family, but as long as we have our shows, we’ve got it all, right?
It’s one of the things that make these shows so special as they allow us to escape into them for an hour or so a day and pretend we’re in their world. It’s usually a pretty fun ride, but when they’re doing something down to earth like holding a pool party, we get sucked in even more.
Most of us have taken part in a pool party of some sort, and this really drives it home and sucks us in. If we haven’t, it still sucks us in and gives us something to plan for in the future.
In this case, we’ll be traveling back to July 4, 2005 for our throwback spoilers and get to enjoy a fun soiree Gloria Abbott (Judith Chapman) threw together. Like her, we get to bask in seeing so many faces we have considered friends and family over the years and have a great time.
Gloria was in her glory as she welcomed guests and chatted away. Her joy at having everyone together built up to the point she could barely contain her excitement, and it was noticed by her family and other party goers. One of those was John Abbott (Jerry Douglas), who was as happy as she was, and it was obvious he was falling in love with her again. This is a cool side story that we got to see play out further down the road, and it’s cool to see they were one of the couples that couldn’t be kept apart.
Of course, there’s always a heartfelt speech just waiting to be unleashed on those in attendance, and this one is no different. In this case, Gloria toasted to the happiness Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracy Bregman) would share during their upcoming wedding.
Surprise for Nikki
While the Abbott family shindig if happening. Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) had been upset at not having a Newman family barbecue that year. She’s used to being the center of attention, and when she wasn’t she tried to hide it while letting those around her know about her annoyance through her pouting, moping, and sulking.
Sure, there are a few other tactics she uses, but those are generally up there is her subtle hints aren’t recognized or she’s unhappy with a response.
In this case, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) had paid attention and set plans accordingly. To start with, he took Nikki out for a romantic dinner and dancing date. During the latter, he once again surprised her with a three week cruise to the Greek Isles in the fall. Needless to say, Nikki was pleased and her thoughts on not having her own party were quickly forgotten.
CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers tips our hat to Victor. Well done, you suave fox.
