Nothing like watching Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford)’s mating technique in action, and CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers can’t help but feel like we’re watching a nature film at times. And we’re rarely disappointed when it comes to these moments.
What really makes this entertaining is the fact that Phyllis and Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) would’ve been a fun super couple had they been able to remain more than friends for any length of time. While it’s understandable given how alike they can be, it’s a shame because CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers think it would’ve been fun to see them giving Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) the fits.
They’re a pair of sharks that compliment each other perfectly, though it’s doubtful a pair of dominant predators could’ve survived for long in the same pond.
Still, it’s fun to see them in the early days of making a go of it in this episode from August 3, 2000.

Phyllis makes her move
Phyllis has never been one to shy away from going after what she wants, whether it’s man, vegetable, or mineral. This time, her sights are locked squarely on Michael, but it’s hard to know exactly why with the lack of continuity leading up to this episode, but CBS “The Young and the Restless” Spoilers are certain it’s of a romantic nature.
Her efforts appear to work as Michael started to warm up to her. It’s hard not to considering the effort she put in, but her reputation is a difficult one to get away from. Despite how loving, warm, and caring she may appear, most have gotten used to her flipping the switch and going all psycho on them. This led to Michael having to swear to others that she was too busy focusing on her career and she’s no longer a troublemaker.
This may help her as Michael, while not having the best reputation himself, has a better one than she does. Not that it’s so much better, but his heart was in the right place. Plus, it shows that her efforts were bearing fruit that he’d go to the trouble of ensuring others that she was doing better and could be trusted.
