After having what many call the best match of Cody’s TNT Championship reign, AEW fans would flock to social media to let their feelings known. They wanted ‘The Mad King’ to be signed to AEW, to be given a chance to shine at primetime. He’s a respected veteran, and one of the realest men in the industry, and now has a deal with All Elite Wrestling.
Plenty Of Old Allies & Enemies To Work With
You don’t spend the amount of time Kingston spent in wrestling without gaining connections, and those will be likely played upon in coming storylines. The most recent major connection is between Kingston and the duo of Santana & Ortiz, having all worked together as L.A.X in Impact Wrestling, where they feuded with the original L.A.X, Konnan, Hernandez & Homicide. Santana & Ortiz are part of Inner Circle now, but if that group ever splits, this could come into play.
Another connection is with Brodie Lee, who Kingston worked in Chikara with back before Lee would sign with WWE and become Luke Harper. Mr. Brodie Lee now leads The Dark Order, who could become the most dangerous faction in the company before long. He knows exactly how good Kingston is, and we could see him try to recruit him into his ranks.
Lee would say “We can run back Ottawa anytime, old friend” on Twitter is response to his signing, the site of their last match.
It won’t be hard to find things for someone the caliber of Eddie Kingston to do, as he is one of the best all around signees AEW has gotten since their start. He’s a ring general and pulls from the Kings Road Style of All Japan Pro Wrestling, and is hands down one of the best talkers the wrestling industry has ever produced. An overwhelming aura of realness makes him into the complete package.
Lance Archer Wants A Shot At Eddie Kingston
Kingston didn’t need to wait long to get his first challenge thrown his way, seeing as Lance Archer will gladly fight anyone not named Big Swole. Others would be excited for Kingston to get his big break, Archer is excited to have someone who can match his level of physicality. “I love it! A NEW VICTIM!” is what Archer had to say.
This would be a big match that AEW could have for All Out. Give them a No DQ stipulation, and open the show with a wild hardcore brawl. Fans enjoy beautiful violence after all. What matches do you want to see from Eddie Kingston in AEW? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
