Looks like Ace Austin is going to continue to use Madman Fulton to war down and injure his opponents leading up to his Impact World Championship Match at Slammiversary. No surprise as it’s the smart move on Austin’s part.
Unfortunately for him, not everything goes as planned at times.
In this case, Trey is more determined than anyone else after Fulton took him out two times previously and cost him a chance for a one-on-one shot at the world title. Trey started his quest by diving through the ropes to take Austin out at the beginning of the match, but a subsequent dive resulted in him being caught by Fulton. Fulton, displaying his lack of fear, tossed him back in the ring instead of slamming him on the apron or into the ring post. That decision may have come back to haunt him.

Fulton’s strength versus Trey speed was the story of the match, as Fulton picked him up with one arm before slamming in back onto the mat. In fact, Fulton countered all of Trey’s attacks with brute force, such as when Trey locked a sleeper hold on him.
Never give up
In one of his flourishes, Trey managed to get Fulton into a sleeper hold and it seemed like he may have solved the monster. Instead, Fulton began moving side to side, causing Trey to swing until Fulton could grab him. He then hit with a sidewalk slam, breaking the hold.
Trey hits a few more impressive moves, including a neckbreaker through the air, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Fulton. But as Fulton was about to finish the match, Trey grabbed Austin’s stick and hit Fulton on the head from over his shoulder.
This ended the match in disqualification, but not the fight.
Trey then went outside the ring and grabbed a steel chair, which he used on Ace Austin, then wore it out on Fulton in the ring. He achieved some form of revenge, but there’s undoubtedly more to come in the next couple of weeks before Slammiversary.

Following the match, as in previous weeks, there was a pause and then a brief promo. This one showed the old super hero outfit Eric Young wore hanging in a locker. A hand came into the frame and removed the mask.
It looks like we’re going to se Super Eric return at Slammiversary. This is shaping up to be a pay-per-view to watch during a time where they’ve been more disappointing than not across the board.
