The show started with plenty of technical problems through the first forty-so minutes, but they replayed the first few segments we missed after the After Impact show on Twitch so we could watch it, and it was well worth the wait.
Plenty of action
Nothing like jumping right into the action with a great match filled with different personalities. Things got started early as Susie and Rosemary squared off and Rosemary berated Susie for not using her powers and called her an “idiotic little child.”
Susie responded with some child-like slaps that infuriated Rosemary, and Rosemary took out her fury on her. Susie fought back, but she was reluctant to follow up despite Kylie Rae’s coaching from the ring apron. This led to an interesting moment where Rae threw Rosemary into the ropes at one point, dropped to the mat to trip her, but Susie didn’t follow through. This led to Rae backing/sliding away from an incensed Rosemary.
Valkyrie wanted no part of Rae’s offered hand out of sportsmanship and made fun of her after she tagged in. Despite Valkyrie’s skill, Rae appeared to be the more athletic of the two and quickly gained control, nearly locking in her STF (Smile to the Finish) submission before Valkyrie made it to the ropes. Rae continued the offensive as her and Susie hit Valkyrie with a double bulldog, but Valkyrie kicked out.

Valkyrie came back strong as she nearly scored a pinfall after hitting Susie with a slam, then hit with a double teamed big boot and German suplex combination with Rosemary. After managing to tag in Rae, Rae quickly cleared the ring and nailed Rosemary with a senton in the corner, followed by a stunner, leaving Rosemary seemingly unconscious.
However, Rosemary sat up with a battle cry, and Rae hit her with a superkick, but the Demon’s Assassin wasn’t finished as she tagged in Valkyrie, who hit Rae with a spear, followed by a northern lights suplex. Rae kicked out of both pinning attempts.
Rae turned the tide with a superkick to Valkyrie, and Rosemary broke up the pin. Susie then entered the ring and knocked Rosemary to the outside, and Valkyrie sent Susie out of the ring.
Rea took advantage of the moment to slap her Smile to the Finish on Valkyrie, who tried to reach for help but John E Bravo was tending to Rosemary outside the ring. Abandoned, Valkyrie tapped out.
Trying to wake Su Yung
It’s obvious Rosemary and Valkyrie were targeting Susie throughout the match, attempting to wake up Su Yung. Josh Mathews even commented at one point that Susie was in so much trouble that she needed to tag or transform into Su Yung.
While the intelligence behind waking the slumbering demon can be questioned, Rosemary is the one that woke her last time, so there is a method to her madness. We’re willing to bet that Su Yung will awake during the Knockout’s Number One Contender Gauntlet at Slammiversary. Call it a hunch.
