Hello and welcome to this week’s WWE Smackdown Results and Live Recap! It should be an interesting show as we deal with the aftermath of Horror Show at Extreme Rules and get things fired up for the next pay-per-view, SummerSlam, in August.
Segment 1
Bayley and Sasha Banks came out and were interupted by Nikki Cross demanding a remath.
Bayley agreed to give her one if she beat Alexa Bliss in a match. The winner will get a title shot next week.
Segment 2
Alexa Bliss vs. Nikki Cross
The match started slow, but Cross took exception to Bliss tryign to slap her and that ramped up the action.
Outside the ring, they hit Banks and Bayley with a double clothesline while they were chanting.
Segment 3
An awesome match saw Cross win with a surprise small package on Bliss.
Nikki Cross will face Bayley for the Smackdown Women’s Championship next week.
Segment 4
Firefly Fun House showed a recap of Braun Strowman and Bray Wyatt’s Extreme Rules match. Talking to his head lantern, Wyatt said he couldn’t let him out again and that the Fiend was now unleashed.
Matt Riddle will be in a match after comemrcial.
Segment 5
Matt Riddle vs. Tony Nese
Riddle won a decent back and forth match, then called out King Corbin.
Corbin came out and offered a King’s ransom to anyone willing to show Riddle he doesn’t belong on the main roster.
Segment 6
JBL predicted Jeff Hardy will win the Bar Fight.
On Miz TV, Naomi gave Morrison and Miz as good as she got, and when they brought Lacey Evans out as a surprise guest, she chased her out of the ring.
Kingston announced he’s out for 6 weeks, and it’s Big E’s time to make a name for himself in singles competition.
Segment 7
Gran Metalik vs. Drew Gulak vs. Lince Dorado vs. Shorty G square off. The winner will face AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship.
The athelticism is off the charts, so don’t blink.
Segment 8
Another awesome match that was so fast paced it was near perfect saw Gan Metalik pin Shorty G.
Metalik sent Styles out of the ring after Styles slapped him to send a message for next week.
Segment 9
A recap of Many Rose and Otis was shown, and they’ll be back next week.
Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura promised it isn’t Big E’s time, so that’s something to keep an eye out for.
Segment 10
Bar Fight – Jeff Hardy vs. Sheamus
This started out prety good and even involved Sheamus holding Jeff’s face in a urinal while he flushed it before they took it back to the bar room.
Segment 11
The match was pretty decent if predictable. Sheamus had Jeff beat, but Jeff appeared with skeleton face paint and won after hitting a senton off a ladder for the win.
Not a bad show, but the Bar Fight felt too long and forced, as their cinematic matches are anymore.
