This was a fun, if interesting match for those that haven’t seen it yet.
The re-air starts with Bray Wyatt as his Mr. Rogers self entering the ring, followed by Braun Strowman
Strowman started off dominating through his brute strength, but Wyatt laughed it off, continuing to work to get Strowman to rejoin him.
Strowman took the fight outside the ring, running Wyatt into the barrier and ring post before being thrown back into the ring. Strowman followed with a splash before Wyatt slipped out of the ring. Wyatt then sidestepped Strowman’s shoulderblock run, sending Strowman through the announcing table.

Wyatt followed up with a DDT on the floor, then threw him back in the ring.
After a clothesline, Wyatt continued to take the fight to Strowman outside the ring, telling Strowman he was making him do this. Pain was etched across Wyatt’s face.
A tornado DDT and Sister Abigail nearly resulted in a pinfall.
We return from commercial with another Sister Abigail, but Strowman countered with a chokeslam.
After throwing Wyatt out of the ring, Strowman his with a running shoulderblock, driving him into the barricade.
After Wyatt kicked Strowman out of the ring, Strowman appeared wearing his Wyatt family mask to Bray Wyatt’s joy.
Strowman stepped into the ring and Wyatt promised “this time everything will be perfect.”
On their knees with arms wide, Wyatt accepted Strowman back into the family and embraces him.
Strowman pushed Wyatt back and removed the mask, then stomped on it.
Strowman then hit him with his running powerslam for the win.
Reasoning
This was unusual but also gave us an insight into Bray Wyatt’s characters’ minds. He fought Strowman as himself because he wanted to bring him back into the Wyatt family fold. His old persona has reemerged to once again try to bring Strowman back.
The problem here is we can assume Strowman will with at Extreme Rules, and if that happens Wyatt may look on him as having wronged him by refusing to rejoin him. If that’s the case, the next time they meet, the Fiend will most likely face off with Strowman.
The Fiend is the part of Wyatt’s persona that only emerges when he needs to avenge a loss or injustice done to him. This is a really cool and complex character design that should be really fun to see what happens next.
Can Strowman run the gauntlet, especially after falling to the Fiend previously when he happened to be in the ring with Seth Rollins?
