AEW Dynamite Preview For 08/12/20

It’s just about time for another huge episode of AEW Dynamite, and with All Out still a ways out, we instead get a PPV level card tonight for free. Two titles are on the line, as well as a huge rematch. Let’s break what’s announced down.

Chris Jericho vs. Orange Cassidy II

In a match that many felt would be saved for All Out, we are seeing the rematch of Le ‘Champion and Orange Cassidy. They last met in the main event of Fyter Fest Night Two, with Jericho coming out on top. Now, with Best Friends & Inner Circle banned from ringside, it’s time to see who is truly better.

Cassidy has pushed the buttons of Jericho, having doused him in orange juice prompting the 7000$ wager on this match. Will OC get the biggest win of his career, or will Jericho go 2-0 over what’s looking to be his best rival in AEW?

Hangman Page & Kenny Omega Defend The AEW Tag Team Championships

No one expected Page & Omega of The Elite to become one of the best tag teams around, but their reign as AEW Tag Team Champions have shown just this. They’ve just about defended against everyone, and it’s time for Jurassic Express to get their chance to become champion. Jungle Boy & Luchasarus have proven to be a strong tag team, but can they be the ones to unseat the champions?

Tensions are ever rising between Page & Omega, especially after Page abandoned the 12 man tag team match last week to help FTR to the back, and then came back to get pinned by Brodie Lee. A loss tonight wouldn’t just end their reign, but instead end their entire partnership.

Cody Rhodes vs. Scorpio Sky For The TNT Championship

The TNT Championship has been defended at a rapid pace, and tonight we finally see the completed title. Cody might not have time to enjoy the new championship, as he faces a very game Scorpio Sky. The former AEW Tag Team Champion has been undefeated since going solo, and it’s time for him to have his biggest match yet. Cody has looked past Sky as a challenger, seeing a simple tag team wrestler who will be burnt out after four minutes, not a man who could be his biggest challenge yet.
