Jay White To Return To Action Next Week On NJPW Strong

Fans of New Japan Pro Wrestling have been eagerly awaiting the return of the true leader of Bullet Club, this being ‘Switchblade’ Jay White. The hope was to have him back in Japan by the start of the G1 Climax in September, but that might be unlikely as he will be returning as part of NJPW Strong, their latest United States based weekly program. This return was announced on the NJPW Strong post show, FINISH STRONG.

A Second Full-Power Bullet Club

Jay White will have some allies ready to back him up in the United States, where he will be joined there by KENTA, Chase Owens & Guerillas of Destiny, some core members of Bullet Club. This is parallel to what is happening in Japan, where Bullet Club is led by current IWGP Heavyweight / Intercontinental Champion; EVIL. He’s flanked by Gedo, Jado, Yujiro Takahashi, and Dick Togo.

We very well could see another Bullet Club civil war at the end of this, as White & EVIL battle for control of the faction. EVIL is likely to pick up some more followers, and we know that Bad Luck Fale will always be where fellow OG Tama Tonga is, so White can rely on him. Gallows & Anderson are also set to return to New Japan Pro Wrestling when able, and will likely also side with the more senior members of the faction.

Jay Whites First Match In Six Months

Ring rust might have accumulated on the Switchblade, as he hasn’t wrestled since Manabu Nakanishis retirement show, where alongside Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa, they would defeat Juice Robinson, David Finlay, Togi Makabe, and Tomoaki Honma. His last singles match was back on the 9th of February, when he defeated SANADA.

He wasn’t that broken up about Nakanishi retiring that he couldn’t bare to wrestle until now, he was simply stuck in New Zealand due to COVID-19, and unable to re-enter Japan. We will hopefully see Jay White back in Japan before long, but at least we will finally be able to breathe with the Switchblade once again.
