New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) has a tradition of recording post-match comments and later posting them on social media along with their New Japan World streaming service.
The company continues its unique presentation following every New Japan Strong episode. Several interesting comments were made after Friday’s episode, including Kenta promising that he was coming for Jon Moxley and the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship after his New Japan Cup 2020 USA victory.
Kenta did not address Jeff Cobb nor David Finlay (who he defeated to win the tournament) during his comments but decided to focus on promoting Bullet Club as being within its best era.
David Finlay later spoke about his strategy didn’t play out against Kenta, but detailed that he and Juice Robinson (who team together as FinJuice) will look to recapture the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship once borders to Japan reopen.
Jay White would then address the audience regarding his return, stating that he would grant Flip Gordon a match with him at a later date. The program between the two will likely lead to a feature match between the two during a Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2020 event, which will begin its build-up next week on New Japan Strong.
During their comments, Flip Gordon said that he was coming for Jay White while Brody King stated that he wants a match against Hikuleo at some time in the near future.
The Hikuleo and Brody King program will likely also extend to the Fighting Spirit Unleashed 2020 event(s).
During their comments, Rocky Romero and Adrian Quest comments focused on Rocky Romero hyping up Quest and saying that he was impressed by him and Danny Limelight — along with being hype over his first win since NJPW returned to action following the COVID-19 (Coronavirus, 2019) delay.
In his comments with The DKC, Danny Limelight said he can’t wait to get back into the ring with Romero.
