NJPW Strong Episode 4: Undercard
An Exciting 8-Man Tag Team Match Highlights Depth
The second match of the fourth episode of New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) Strong event featured a high paced and frantic 8-man tag team match between TJP, ACH, recent NJPW Los Angeles (LA) Dojo Graduate Karl Fredericks, and NJPW LA Dojo Young Lion Clark Connors against Misterioso, Blake Christian, Barrett Brown, and Adrian Quest.
The less experienced team saw Christian and Quest have moments where they were able to flash their high ceilings. Brown was on the receiving end of most of the offense from his opponents.
Connors and Fredericks worked well together due to the many months they spent training together at the NJPW LA Dojo underneath Katsuyori Shibata’s watchful eye.
Misterioso Jr was able to gain the pinfall victory over Connors at the 12 minute and 4-second mark with his MSO technique that resembles a Lungblower.
After the match Misterioso Jr and Karl Fredericks exchanged shoves, and it was unveiled that the two would have a match during the Fighting Spirit Unleashed tour that is taking place over the next two weeks on September 4th and September 11th.
The opening match saw two young wrestlers compete in another prime opportunity to impress those with a say in who becomes regulars for the New Japan Pro Wrestling of America (NJoA) brand.
Danny Limelight, who has caught the eye of Rocky Romero and Jordan Clearwater who looks as if he would be a quality candidate for the NJPW LA Dojo had a competitive match that saw Limelight capture the victory at the 5 minute and 58-second mark with the Symbiote DDT technique.
Limelight will likely have a one on one opportunity against Rocky Romero on one of the two Fighting Spirit Unleased 2020 events.
