The final event before the Summer Struggle in Jingu featured event takes place from Korakuen Hall on August 27th, the night after the KOPW (presumable King of Pro Wrestling) Title tournament held its opening round.
The event will also see the second night of testing out the remote cheerer system before the featured event on Saturday.
Summer Struggle August 27th Preview
The marquee match previews two featured matches from the Summer Struggle in Jingu card. Bullet Club members IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ Evil and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion V2 challenger Taiji Ishimori against Los Ingobernables de Japon (LIJ) member IWGP Heavyweight and IWGP Intercontinental ‘Double Champion’ V2 challenger Tetsuya Naito and IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi.
The headline line sees a preview of the headline match of the Jingu card as teams vying for the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championship appear on either side of the ring.
Challenger Golden Ace (Hiroshi Tanahashi/Kota Ibushi) team with Master Wato against Suzuki-Gun members the champions Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Master Wato and Kanemaru meet during the opening match at Jingu.
The fourth match sees LIJ members NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi, Sanada, and Bushi face Suzuki-Gun members NEVER Openweight V4 challenger Minoru Suzuki, El Desperado, and Douki. Takagi and Suzuki will also have their title match at Jingu.
The third match sees CHAOS members one-half of the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions Sho, Toru Yano, and five-time former IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada battle Bullet Club members Yujiro Takahashi and the Complete Players (Gedo/Jado).
The second match of the event sees the Hontai team of Yuji Nagata, Satoshi Kojima, and Tomoaki Honma against the CHAOS team of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions Hirooki Goto, Tomohiro Ishii, and Yoshi-Hashi.
The opening match sees the continuation of the series between New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) Noge Dojo Young Lions as Yota Tsuji faces Yuya Uemura.
