With each passing week, Legado Del Fantasma gets more and more dangerous. They’ve been undefeatable since forming, with Santos Escobar being the clear ace of the Cruiserweight Division.
However, Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde are equally dangerous in tag team action, something they look to prove at the expense of everyone’s favorite French Canadian unit, Ever-Rise. Can Chase Parker & Matt Martel pull off the major upset?
Legado Del Fantasma Control This One Early
Martel would get things started against Mendoza, and didn’t lack confidence in the face of the most dangerous team around. Mendoza would quickly catch him with an arm lock, before transitioning into a headlock. Martel would shove him off into the corner, only to have Mendoza go over him and deliver some hard strikes.
A big back elbow would show that Martel isn’t going to lay down, and Parker would be tagged. He’d go to work on Mendoza, but lose track of his ring position during a back suplex, and Wilde would tag himself in.
One big DDT later and this match would no longer be in Ever-Rises favor. Parker would be beaten down in the corner and have a chin lock applied in the middle of the ring as Martel started a ‘DEFENSE’ chant. He’d manage to break free from this hold, only to be dropped with an elbow to the jaw.
Ever-Rise Look Better Than Ever
A tandem moonsault would crush Parker as Mendoza came back in, Parker would be isolated at this point, with any hope of victory in the hands of Matt Martel. Showing some babyface fire, Parker would escape again and Martel would get the tan and clean house.
A beautiful dropkick, a big back body drop, and a clothesline over the top rope turned the tides, and it would be looking good for them. Parker would be tagged back in for their signature elbow drop combo, getting a near fall on Wilde.
Martel would be tagged back in, but as they went for their assisted Codebreaker finish, Mendoza would trip up Parker and send him to the outside. Wilde & Mendoza would hit their finish and end this one.
This was a sign that Ever-Rise are more than just a set of comedy jobbers, nearly beating Wilde & Mendoza on this night. Do you think this is a sign of things to come for them, or were they just having a good night? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
