Tony Nese is one of the few 205 Live originals still standing, as men like Akira Tozawa, Drew Gulak, Cedric Alexander, and more leave the brand. Because of this, he has a sense of duty to remain on top of 205 Live, and this has brought out his vicious side in recent weeks. Tonight, WWE hopeful Liam Gray would be the latest to face down WWE’s Premiere Athlete, would he have any chance of victory?
Tony Nese Squashes Liam Gray
Nese wouldn’t waste time in this match, bulldozing over Liam Gray with a back elbow. He’d ask Gray what makes him so good, why does he belong on Tony Nese’s show? Gray threw a hand to the midsection, not even phazing Nese, but giving Gray a chance to flee into the corner.
Nese would charge in, and Gray popped over, only to get a hard spin kick to the midsection. This would be followed by an even harder knee strike to the face, a kick to the chest and a leg sweep. Nese would take some time to flex, before some cocky kicks to the face.
He’d yell at Gray saying he can’t compete with the Premiere Athlete, before grabbing a handful of hair to pull his opponent to his feet. A shot to the throat and a German Suplex into the turnbuckles would follow. Gray would be put into position for the Running Nese, and the exposed knee would put his opponent down.
Now Do This To A Proper Member Of The Roster
Tony Nese was absolutely in his element tonight on 205 Live, having complete control of his opponent. He even found time for some taunting and loud trash talking, but it’s unlikely we see him repeat this performance against a proper member of the 205 Live roster.
This win will help Nese get his confidence back, but a squash match might only make him overconfident. We will see if this win is a benefit or a detriment for The Premiere Athlete going forward.
