There is one man getting dangerously close to Santos Escobar and his NXT Cruiserweight Championship. This is Isaiah ‘Swerve’ Scott, the only man who has pinned him since his WWE debut, and they will meet in a six man tag team match tonight. Escobar has the rest of Legado Del Fantasma backing him, while Swerve has Breezango. Will this be the match that finally gets Swerve his title shot?
Chaotic Six Man Tag Team Action
This one wouldn’t start one on one, rather all six men would enter a wild brawl, with Legado Del Fantasma getting the early control. Fandango would find himself isolated in their corner as we’d go to an early commercial break in this match.
Coming back from this break, Fandango would have Joaquin Wilde on the ropes, using his size to his advantage. He’d make a mistake of going to the top rope, and be sent crashing to the outside, hitting the injured arm on the ropes on the way down.
An assisted moonsault after a series of tags followed by a springboard moonsault would punish Fandango, as Raul Mendoza would apply an armlock. Using his good arm, Fandango would try to chop his way out of danger, only to fall again. It would be all Legado Del Fantasma, until Swerve would be tagged in.
Swerve Got A Visual Pinfall On Santos Escobar
Swerve would clean house, and get Esocbar in the ring and pummel him into the corner. A rolling flatliner would drop Escobar, but Raul Mendoza would distract him, but Swerve would take out both him and his partner. He’d focus too much on Mendoza and Wilde however, and eat a diving knee strike when he came off the top rope.
Swerve would narrowly avoid the Phantom Driver, and counter into the JML Driver. However, Swerve wasn’t legal in the match, Tyler Breeze was. Swerve would be taken out by Wilde & Mendoza, Breeze would come into the ring, and be taken out by the Phantom Driver.
While this match ended with Legado Del Fantasma standing tall, Swerve would have won this match if it wasn’t for an unintended tag to Tyler Breeze. He got a visual pinfall on Escobar, something that commentary was sure to point out.
