A few weeks back, we would see Breezango make a dangerous mistake, when you would insult the lucha libre culture that Legado Del Fantasma holds sacred. They would get their revenge by kidnapping and beating the tar out of Fandango, then later Tyler Breeze when he came to save his friend.
This week, the NXT veteran Breeze gets a chance to get revenge in the ring, when he faces their leader and NXT Cruiserweight Champion, Santos Escobar. Would he be victorious, or another victim of the most dangerous champion since Neville?
Tyler Breeze Came For A Fight
There would be no grappling to start this one, as Breeze would come in throwing hands. Escobar quickly took advantage and would beat Breeze down to the mat with ease. A beautiful dropkick would threaten to rearrange the face of Breeze, and some hard kicks to a kneeling Breeze would brutalize the veteran.
Santos Escobar would be hit with an enziguri, giving him some space to breathe, with his opponent going to the outside. Chasing to the outside, Breeze would be dropped with a low tackle, followed by a military press to the apron and a big lariat. Just when things looked up for him, the champion would snuff his momentum with ease.
Coming back from a commercial break with no picture-in-picture, Breeze would be trapped in the middle of the ring with a hard chin lock. He’d fight back to his feet briefly, but a manhattan drop and a running knee lift dropped him. Breeze would be set up for the Phantom Driver, but would slip out and shove Escobar out of the ring.
Some running forearms would stun his opponent, finally getting this match in his corner with a supermodel kick. Joaquin Wilde & Raul Mendoza would rush the ring before he’d get a chance to get a pinfall. Breeze would fight them off, and Breeze would walk into a Phantom Driver.
Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott Drives Off Santos Escobar
Fandango would stumble down the ring the help of a pole, his arm in a sling. He knew that Breeze was about to be beat down like he was, and would try to make the save. This would fail, but help was on the way in Isiah ‘Swerve’ Scott!
Swerve would drive Legado Del Fantasma off, and he’s the only man to have pinned Escobar in NXT so far. He’s the #1 contender, and Escobar knows this. When will he get his shot? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
