Hello and welcome to WWE Raw Live Results and Recap!

This is going to be a fun episode.

Not only do we get to see some new rivalries start and old pieces move toward the Payback pay-per-view on Sunday (August 30), but Keith Lee is making his main roster debut!

Segment 1

McIntyre came out to celebrate retaining his championship as is customary, and challenged Randy Orton to another match.

Orton attacked him as he was leaving and punt kicked McIntyre twice backstage.

Segment 2

Nia Jax returned from suspension to exchange some words with Shayna Baszler prior to Baszler heading out to face  a subdued Bayley.

Jax then came out before the commercial. Yeah, there won’t be any interference here at all.

Segment 3

Shayna Baszler vs. Bayley

A one-sided match in Baszler’s favor ended in a DQ when Jax pulled Baszler out of the ring and beat on her.

However, Baszler and Jax turned their unified attention on the Golden Role Models and forced them to back away. Will this be the Women’s tag team championship match at Payback?

Segment 4

The Kevin Owens Show featuring Aleister Black

Alesiter Black looks to have turned heel after he attacked Kevin Owens, totally unprovoked.

Segment 5

Fatal Fourway – 24/7 Championship Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Cedric Alexander

After a fast match, Tozawa rolled up R-Truth to win the 24/7 Championship and then ran for it.

Randy Orton is expected to speak after the commerical

Segment 6

Orton explained that he punted McIntyre twice because he offered a rematch out of pity, but as Orton was getting going Keith Lee came out.

Lee challenged him to a fight, to which Orton said, “Maybe later,” and left the ring. We may still see this tonight, so hang in there. Though McIntyre will probably interfere.

Segment 7

Angel Garza vs. Montez Ford

A cool note: Ford and Dawkins came out to a shower of red solo cups on the ramp.

An okay match ended after Burnett left with Ivar and Ford hit with a From the Heavens for the pinfall.

Jax and Baszler seemed to somehwat bury the hatchet to go for the Women’s Tag Team Championships, and Ruby Riott, Liv Morgan, and Bianca Belair prepared to face the Iiconics.

Segment 8

Zelina Vega and the Iiconics (Peyton Royce and Billie Kay) vs. The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott and Liv Morgan) and Bianca Beliar

Another too short match for this grouo ended with Belair hitting a KOT on Vega for the pin.

Segment 9

Arm Wrestling Competition – Bobby Lashley vs. Apollo Crews

With Mark Henry overseeing things, Crews stomped on Lashley’s foot and beat him in their challenge, then took him and the HUrt Business out when they ran to the ring.

Segment 10

Lana and Natalya had a five minute segment where they mocked Mickie James, who came out and knocked them both out.

Shane McMahon arrived for Raw Underground, and the Hurt Business arrived first and demanded to be let in, and Shane held the door for them.

Segment 11

Lashley beat Dolph Ziggler on Raw Underground and a couple other challengers.

Randy Orton vs. Keith Lee

Keith Lee dominated the match, but Orton survived and was about to hit an RKO when McIntyre pulled him out of the ring and threw him into the barricade twice before Orton slipped away.

Segment 12

A recap/promo for the Universal Championship match, but especially Roman Reigns’ return. Anyone really think Reigns won’t with the Universal title at Payback?

McIntyre was approached for an interview backstage, but he was attacked from behind by Orton.

Orton punt kicked him again and left.

Segment 13

It was reported that McIntyre may have a fractured skull and it could be career ending.

Lumberjack Match – Raw Women’s Chamionship- Asuka (c) vs. Sasha Banks (W/Bayley)

Asuka tossed Banks out of the ring, and Banks shoved Ruby Riott.

Bayley tried to help, and the faces and heel lumberjacks stared each other down as we ehaded to comercial.

Segment 14

Asuka defeated Banks with a Asuka Lock after Baszler wouldn’t let Bayley give Banks a chair.

Can we move on from these two now?

McIntyre was taken to the hospital for further evaluation, and Keith Lee expressed he’s sure McIntyre will be fine, but he can’t say the same about Orton.

Guess Lee and Orton will be a match at payback?

Segment 15

The Hurt Business continued to dominate Raw Underground.

Rey and Dominik Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy

A fast paced match say Dominik and Rey start off fast and taking the fight to Rollins and Murphy prior to the commercial break.

Segment 16

What was a good match ended in no contest when Retribution attacked.

Rollins and Murphy slipped away and watched from the ramp (Rollins was smiling and laughing evily) as they beat down the Mysterios amid obviously piped in crowd boos.

The show was pretty decent until this. The matches were understandably lower keyed due to SummerSlam’s matches, but this ending was simply wrong.

What do you think? Is Retribution tired already? Let us know in the comments below.
