During the Deadly Draw tag team tournament, Diamante & Ivelisse would be the last ones standing. However, their first tag team match since that day won’t be an easy one, as they face two champions. They have both the AEW & NWA Women Champions, as they have Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa. Can the established tag team beat the singles champions?
Ivelisse & Diamante Start With A Brawl
As the champions raised their gold during their entrances, Diamante & Ivelisse would attack from behind, starting this one off. They’d beat down Hikaru Shida and try to remove Thunder Rosa, but the champions would rally back rather fast.
Things would finally stabilize with Thunder Rosa & Diamante, Rosa in firm control and getting a near fall after a senton, but Ivelisse would come in and change this. She’d choke Rosa and drop her on the back of her neck, as we go to a commercial break.
Throughout the break, Rosa gained control and hit a big missle dropkick, and get Hikaru Shida in the match, who cleaned house. Diamante came in, but Thunder Rosa helped ensure Shida didn’t get outnumbered. Shida hit the suplex from the apron to the middle of the ring, getting a near fall.
Hikaru Shida & Thunder Rosa Work Past A Miscommunication
The winners of the tag team cup would work together to pick away at Shida, hitting a series of big moves. Thunder Rosa tried to make the save, but ended up running into Shida with a knee by accident. A hook kick would allow Ivelisse to get a near fall on the AEW Women’s Champion, who’d bell was rung. Diamante would get the assisted sliced bread, but Thunder Rosa broke up the pin.
As Diamante tried for the Code Red, Rosa would again save her, and hit the Death Valley Driver on Diamante, before taking Ivelisse out of the picture. One running knee to Diamante later, and the team of Rosa & Shida got this win.
