Lion’s Break Crown Tournament Brackets via New Japan Pro Wrestling

New Japan Pro Wrestling’s (NJPW) Lion’s Break Crown gets underway after the tournament combatants had the opportunity to feel each other out during last week’s edition of New Japan Strong.

The marquee match of the opening round sees the impressive Blake Christian take on the more experienced Adrian Quest in what should be a high-paced affair.

Both have made a quick name for themselves within the New Japan of America (NJoA) brand, vying for opportunities to compete in a future Best of the Super Junior (BOSJ) tournament and/or tour regularly with the main brand in Japan once the borders reopen full time.

The winner of the match faces the winner of Danny Limelight/Barrett Brown.

The headline match of the event is the aforementioned; Danny Limelight against Barrett Brown contest. Limelight has caught the eye of former eight-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion (as Black Tiger) Rocky Romero.

Barrett Brown has been in the wrestling business for several years and has the opportunity to make his big break by defeating Danny Limelight in the first round of the Lion’s Break Crown tournament.

The second match of the event features NJPW Los Angeles (LA) Dojo Young Lion Clark Connors against Jordan Clearwater.

Connors, one of the favorites to win the tournament, has shown how high his ceiling is since he entered the NJPW Dojo training system.

Jordan Clearwater would like to push his fall defeat on the previous NJPW Strong episode to Logan Riegel out of his mind, as he has an opportunity to show that he belongs in the NJPW Dojo training system.

The first match of the evening sees Logan Riegel face The DKC, with the winners facing either Clark Connors or Jordan Clearwater.

Logan looks to adapt to singles competition as his brother Sterling is in the United Kingdom during the COVID-19 (Coronavirus 2019) lockdown. The DKC will look to get his NJPW career on track, and a win here would be a step in the right direction.
